How we handle industrial burner control boxes requests

Pick the level you need

Start with a temperature controller, add an HMI for visibility at the panel, or add telemetry to monitor from anywhere. Each step builds on the last.

Safety stays with the burner system

Burner safety functions such as flame supervision and shutdown must follow the burner manufacturer's requirements and the applicable standards. We discuss this with you when we scope the box, and the installation should be checked by a competent person.

Monitoring when you want it

Version 3 connects to our plant monitoring app, so you can see temperatures and run hours and receive alerts, and plan maintenance before a fault stops production.

About industrial burner control boxes from Precision Spares

Industrial burners operate in demanding conditions — high temperatures, continuous cycling and the ever-present requirement for safe and reliable combustion. The control box is the brain of the burner system, managing temperature control, combustion air, fuel supply and safety functions. We build industrial burner control boxes in three configurations to suit different levels of operator interaction and monitoring: a basic version with a temperature controller for straightforward temperature regulation, a version with an HMI for local operator control and visibility, and a version with telemetry that connects to our plant monitoring app for remote oversight and alerts.

Each burner control box is built to suit the specific burner, fuel type and process requirements of the installation. During the scoping process we review the burner make and model, the fuel type — whether gas, oil or dual-fuel — the temperature range required, the supply voltage and any existing safety devices. The control box is then configured with the appropriate temperature controller, flame supervision, actuators and safety components. Burner safety functions follow the burner manufacturer's requirements and the applicable standards, and the installation should be checked by a competent person before commissioning.

The three versions allow you to choose the level of control and visibility that matches your operation. Version 1 provides reliable temperature control for processes where the setpoint is relatively stable. Version 2 adds an HMI so operators can set, view and adjust the process at the panel, with real-time display of temperature, burner status and alarms. Version 3 adds telemetry, connecting the burner to our monitoring app so you can view temperatures and run hours remotely and receive alerts when something needs attention. This is particularly valuable for plants with multiple burners or remote sites where a quick response to a burner fault can prevent extended downtime.

Common questions

What is the difference between the three versions?

Version 1 has a temperature controller. Version 2 adds an HMI so you can set and view the process on a screen at the panel. Version 3 adds telemetry and connects to our plant monitoring app for remote viewing and alerts.

What do you need to quote a control box?

The burner make and model, fuel type, how the burner is controlled today, the temperature range, the supply voltage, and any existing safety devices. Photos of the current panel help.

Can I upgrade a box later?

We can discuss adding an HMI or telemetry to a box later. What is possible depends on how the original box is built, so send us the details.

Does the box include the burner safety system?

Burner safety functions have to follow the burner manufacturer's requirements and the standards that apply to your installation. We go through this when we scope the box.

Which version do I need for my application?

If you only need temperature control, Version 1 is enough. If operators need to set and view the process, choose Version 2. If you want remote monitoring, choose Version 3.

Can the box control any type of burner?

We build boxes for common industrial burners. Tell us the burner make and model and we will confirm it is suitable.

What fuel types can the box handle?

The control box works with the burner's fuel system. Tell us the fuel type and we will confirm the configuration.

Do you supply the temperature sensor?

Yes. We supply the temperature sensor matched to your process range and the controller.

Can the box be mounted outdoors?

Yes, with the right enclosure rating. Tell us the installation environment and we will specify the correct enclosure.

What documentation comes with the box?

Each box comes with wiring diagrams, a user manual and the configuration details for your burner.

Can you commission the box on site?

Yes. Our engineers can commission the box on site and verify the burner control and safety functions.

How long does it take to build a control box?

It depends on the version and the components. We confirm the lead time when you place the order.
